Cairns Road Works – Model railway detailing and repainting by Andi Walshaw

A few models that have rolled off the production line…..

I have been quiet of late. A combination of reasons, firstly a lack of a computer to blog from, but more generally a full summer with spare time taken up with actual modelling work rather than writing and photographing them! Anyway. Instead of my usual approach of doing a post per model – here is a round up of latest work.

Starting with a transformation of a few 37s. A mixed bag of locos here, including an old Bachmann model and dealing with a limited edition 37003 model and transforming it into 37087!

Next up a transformation including filling a nose end of a DRS 57 into 57001:

Next up, 56078 in lightly weathered large logo blue livery:

I then produced a nice and colourful 47818:

I have of course saved the more interesting ones till last. First up, another 47, a Bachmann one, with various bits from a 57 borrowed to achieve 47790 in Northern Belle colours:

Finally, not yet finished, but 60007 is in progress…. it will have its own set once complete!
